The occupiers turned the “Russian flag day” into a demonstration at the expense of children and state employees.
In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, Russians are organizing massive forced actions to mark the so-called “Day of the Russian Flag.”
On August 22, schoolchildren, students, teachers, and public sector employees were forced to attend parades and concerts with tricolors in their hands. For example, in the TOT of Zaporizhzhia, collaborators organized the unfurling of a one hundred-meter tricolor, involving schoolchildren and teachers. At the same time, in Henichesk, children and residents were given ribbons and flags under the supervision of military commandants.
In general, in many cities where there is no drinking water or adequate provision of basic needs, resources are spent on a showy picture for Kremlin TV channels.
But even the occupation administrations themselves realize that their tricolor rag is not admired, but disdained. Even in Russia itself, after such holidays, flags often end up in trash bins – and this eloquently demonstrates the true attitude of the population to the regime’s “values.” Therefore, to avoid so-called “provocations,” the occupiers posted additional guards near the flagpoles.
The so-called “Russian Flag Day” has once again proved that the occupiers have neither support nor respect, so they are forced to replace reality with scenery.
