Russian propaganda and its own useful idiots keep trying to sow class divisions in Ukraine to facilitate the occupation of our country.
Of course, there are many problems and social injustices in Ukraine, but outright and distorted lies do not help to correct these shortcomings, but only destroy the Ukrainian state.
One of the anonymous profiles called “Khabarnik” spread a fake that speculates on fictitious figures and aims to split Ukrainian society. But more than 18,000 citizens devoid of critical thinking spread this information, which, unfortunately, falls on fertile ground.
The propaganda photo shamelessly speculates with numbers that are false in both parts of this manipulated image.
There are no salaries of 300 thousand UAH in the Verkhovna Rada now, and even the speaker of the parliament receives an average of about 100 thousand per month with benefits. Many MPs receive about 30-40 thousand UAH. Moreover, some employees in the parliamentary staff receive higher salaries than some MPs.
At the same time, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a trench, as depicted in the manipulative photo, receives several times more than the propagandists claim.
In fact, back in 2022, Ukraine had a real situation where a soldier of the Armed Forces with a 30 thousand supplement received more than the salary of an ordinary MP. But no one shouted about it or shared it on social media. After all, everyone understands the incommensurability of the conditions of service and parliamentary service.
But the manipulators are speculating on feelings of class hatred. They say, look: bribe-taking MPs are sitting in the warmth, while poor people are in the trenches “for a penny,” despite the fact that the latter is a lie.
Moscow has been using this method against Ukraine since the days of the Cossacks, when it turned the Cossack masses against the Cossack officers. And the tsar presented himself as a “protector” of ordinary Cossacks from the “corrupt and greedy” Cossack elite. Many Cossacks believed him and asked irritably: Isn’t it true that the officers enrich themselves and steal? As a result, a bit of truth multiplied by hyperbolic Russian lies led the Ukrainian people into Russian serfdom.
Today, we should not think that when Ukrainian statehood, with all its difficulties, is replaced by a Russian occupier, a Wagnerian, a Kadyrovite with a goat, and a hungry and cruel North Korean, Ukrainians will be happier and breathe a sigh of relief without corruption.
