It is noted that the company would like to invest “hundreds of millions of euros” in Ukraine. According to CEO Michal Strnad, the Czechoslovak Group is in talks with Ukroboronprom about a potential joint venture and is looking for suitable sites for the production of artillery and tank shells, as well as heavy equipment.
The main focus will be on the production of artillery ammunition, as well as spare parts for armored vehicles, armored steel products, and more.
Strnad said that since the start of the great war in Ukraine, his company has increased the production of large-caliber ammunition at its plants in Slovakia, Spain, and Serbia by more than 10 times.
“It’s not easy to manage such rapid growth. If we had an agreement, we would transfer our technology to Ukraine. In this way, we could use their capabilities and their people to increase the production of artillery and tank ammunition,” he explained.
In addition to ammunition, the Czechoslovak Group produces military and civilian Tatra trucks, armored vehicles, and wheeled self-propelled howitzers. The publication also emphasizes that the company has previously repaired and modernized T-72 tanks in the Czech Republic and supplied them to Ukraine after the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia.
