Commander of the “Georgian National Legion” Mamuka Mamulashvili expressed his dissatisfaction with the statements of the Georgian Government regarding the non-involvement of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine in the operation to rescue citizens from the war-torn Sudan.

As it is known, as a result of a successful operation of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, as of April 26, 2023, 91 Ukrainians and 51 citizens of Georgia, Canada, Peru and the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis were rescued.

However, the Georgian government denied Ukraine’s involvement in the rescue of its citizens, which caused Mamuka Mamulashvili’s acute dissatisfaction. He emphasized this in his Facebook post criticizing the position of the Georgian government.

Why does the Georgian government deliberately lie and spoil relations with Ukraine? Why lie to your face instead of saying thank you? Do you really want to make someone in the Kremlin happy? We know one thing: nothing will spoil the relations between our peoples, who have always supported each other. We have a common enemy and we have a common goal – freedom. The Georgian Legion condemns the deliberate lies of the Georgian government!
