The futsal team from Sumy, Nicole-Sumy, became the strongest in Ukraine among the 65+ veteran teams. At the tournament of the strongest, held in Zhytomyr, Sumy athletes won the Ukrainian Champions Cup.
Such competitions were the first in the history of Ukrainian futsal. They took place over four days. The Super Cup was played by the teams that took the first two places in the Ukrainian championship and the finalists of the Ukrainian Cup. The competition was held in Zhytomyr.
At first, the rivals played each other in a round-robin system. And then the two strongest clubs met in the Champions Cup final.
In the nomination among veterans aged 65+, the top four teams were two teams from Kyiv, the Mykolaiv Oblast team and the team from Sumy, Nicole-Sumy. FC Kyiv and Nicole-Sumy reached the final. The game consisted of two halves of 12 minutes each. One goal decided the fate of the winners. They were our fellow countrymen, who became the winners of the 2024 Ukrainian Champions Cup among veterans 65+.

The team was supported financially by the Sumy-based Nicole Financial Firm and Ukrainian MP Mykola Zadorozhny. The winners are: Yuriy Slabospytsky from Trostyanets, brothers Anatoliy and Vasyl Yermak from Okhtyrka, and Sumy residents Sergiy Barannik, Oleksandr Tkachenko, Vitaliy Matlash, Volodymyr Tanchyk, Sergiy Khrapach, Oleksandr Luhansky, and Boris Shurshin.
Next spring, the Ukrainian national team will take part in the final of the Futsal World Cup among veterans. The backbone of the team is made up of Nicole-Suma players.
