The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) exposed the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Center for Medical and Social Expertise (MSEK) on corruption schemes related to the provision of services to military service evaders. During the searches, the SBU found a significant amount of money and jewelry, including more than USD 450 thousand and a collection of jewelry, which she kept at different addresses.

Some of this money and jewelry was found in the home of her son, who is an intern at a medical university. In addition, a Russian passport was found in his possession, which he had received at the Russian Consulate General in Odesa before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The official also registered three undeclared apartments for her son to hide her illegal income. In addition, the investigation found out that in 2023 she registered a disability group 2 for herself and her son to receive benefits and social payments.

According to preliminary data, in her declarations for the period 2015-2023, the official indicated only official income of just over UAH 2 million, which is significantly less than the amounts found during the searches. The investigation is currently underway, and the issue of serving her a notice of suspicion is being considered.
