Over the past 10 days, law enforcement blocked 15 schemes of evasion from service in the Armed Forces

Over the last 10 days, Ukrainian police have successfully blocked 15 schemes to evade service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and detained 20 people, including officials of military medical commissions (MMCs), medical and social expert commissions (MSECs) and educational institutions. Among the detainees were individuals involved in the illegal granting of deferrals from mobilization and the organization of fake documents. Over UAH 23 million in cash was seized during the investigations.

The main cases:

1. Khmelnytskyi region: Deputy head of the HQC and an ambulance doctor helped conscripts receive a disability group for bribes ranging from $3000 to $8000.
2. In Zakarpattia: Rector, ex-rector and employee of the Higher Education Administration enrolled men in universities retroactively for 1500 euros, and for 500-1000 dollars they granted deferrals from mobilization. The 225 “reservations” issued have been canceled.
3. Kyiv: A PhD promised conscripts reservations for $10,000 through employment in a demining organization.
4. Odesa: An organizer took $10,000 each for organizing fictitious marriages with women with disabilities to evade conscription.
