In the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) , Russians are trying to expand the influence of their propaganda, by offering free satellite equipmentto local residents. For this purpose , the occupation authorities have extended the terms ofthe “Russian measure” programme, programme, which provides for the free receipt and installation of satellite sets.
The occupiers ‘goal is obvious – to impose Kremlin narratives on Ukrainians in the TOT narratives and restrict access to alternative sources of information. The programme was launched immediately after the occupation of Ukrainian territories in 2022, but so far , local residents have shown little interest in it.
Due to the low popularity of the initiative, the enemy intensified its information campaign, trying to remind about this”great opportunity” through all available channels. However, Ukrainians in the occupied territories continue to ignore the programme, realising its true purpose is to transform their minds into the”Russian world”.
It is worth noting that the resistance of the local population to the propaganda efforts of the occupiers is an important element in preserving Ukrainian identity in the TOT.
