During a combined attack on Crimea, the patrol ship Sergei Kotov (Vasily Bykov project) of the Russian Black Sea Fleet was hit by unmanned maritime strike drones near Feodosia.

According to our sources in the Ukrainian Defense Forces, the attack was carried out by a Ukrainian multi-purpose surface unmanned aerial vehicle MAGURA V5. It is used in the operations of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

UPDATE. The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported on its website that on the night of March 4-5, 2024, a special unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Group 13, attacked the Russian Black Sea Fleet patrol ship Sergei Kotov.

The mission took place in cooperation with the Ukrainian Navy and with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. As a result of a strike by Magura V5 maritime drones, the Russian Project 22160 ship Sergiy Kotov suffered damage to the stern, starboard and port sides.

The attack took place in Ukrainian territorial waters near the Kerch Strait. The value of the sunken ship is about $65 million.
