Cyber experts from the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine have successfully exposed and blocked a Russian public service system used for electronic voting in the presidential election. A source in intelligence circles provided the information to UkraineInform.
“Russia’s electronic voting system is currently down. Our cyber specialists have successfully overcome its defenses. This situation will last until the end of the election process,” – said the intelligence official.
In addition, cyberattacks on the electronic resources of the United Russia political party have been reported.
“Cyber attacks by cyber specialists of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continue,” – the source emphasized.
As a reminder, the Russian Federation is holding presidential elections from March 15 to 17, which for the first time have been extended over three days.
