Despite the high level of trust among Ukrainians, the latest KIIS ratings do not include the former head of the Armed Forces, Ambassador of Ukraine to the UK Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, or the head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov. According to blogger Yevhen Prokopyshyn, they were excluded from the rankings precisely because of the highest rates of popularity growth among Ukrainians.

“The fact is that for some reason the list includes all sorts of Russian agents like Muraiev and Arestovych (this one has no chance of a political career in Ukraine, even theoretically), but for some reason there is no former Armed Forces chief Zaluzhny and GUR chief Budanov. Why?” Prokopyshyn asks on his Facebook page.

The blogger notes that previous polls by other sociological companies have shown the highest rates of growth in public trust in Zaluzhnyi and Budanov: about 65-70% for Zaluzhnyi and 60-65% for Budanov.

“Yes, these were not KIIS polls, and each of these polls has a margin of error of +/-5%, so in reality, all of these top 3 have +/- the same trust, and trust in all of them also changes depending on the situation and time, but the fact is that they were on the list and the picture was different. Therefore, it can be argued that Zaluzhnyi and Budanov were deliberately not included in the latest KIIS ratings, and the only reason is that their credibility is growing,” Prokopyshyn writes.

In his opinion, a survey with only one person with a high level of trust and no other two cannot be objective.

“Of course, other stakeholders are afraid of competition, so they are trying to” merge “them using various methods, and sociology is one of these tools. Therefore, it is very likely that the KIIS poll was openly paid for by customers who are clearly afraid of combat generals in politics.” The blogger concludes.
