The Security Service of Ukraine exposed and detained a cadet of a military institute who was preparing a missile attack on the barracks of her classmates at the request of the FSB.
According to the investigation, the detainee, who studied at this institution, cooperated with the Russian special service for the promise of a monetary reward. She was collecting data on the geolocation of the educational buildings and barracks of the institute, which was relocated from Kharkiv to Lviv region after the outbreak of war.
The attacker planned to pass these coordinates to the FSB and then leave the territory of the facility without permission before the enemy shelling. According to her, the FSB promised to organize her evacuation to Russia through third countries.
The SBU documented the agent’s criminal activity at all stages and took comprehensive measures to protect the cadets and the institute’s facilities. She was detained while passing the coordinates to the FSB and attempting to escape from the institute.
A cell phone with evidence of collaboration with the enemy was seized from the detainee. She was served a notice of suspicion under Part. 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law). The court ruled to keep the suspect in custody without the right to bail.
The traitor faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
