SBU counterintelligence and investigators detained one of the most secretive FSB agents in Dnipro region – a local lawyer who was correcting Russian missile strikes on Dnipro city.
The defendant was detained at the Krakivets checkpoint while trying to escape abroad.
The investigation found that the agent had passed on to the FSB the exact coordinates of the technological workshops and warehouses of an enterprise that modernizes and restores UAVs. As a result of the missile strike, six people were killed and 30 others were seriously injured. Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.
The traitor also reported to his Russian handlers on the consequences of the strike and passed on new coordinates of strategic targets in Dnipro for further attacks.
The communication with the FSB supervisor took place through an intermediary – an acquaintance of the defendant, who is the “first deputy head of the Krasnogvardeisky district administration of Crimea” and works for the FSB.
During the searches, the law enforcers seized mobile phones and SIM cards with evidence of his cooperation with the enemy.
The offender was served a notice of suspicion under the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- ч. 2 Art. 111 – high treason committed under martial law;
- ч. 2 Art. 436-2 – justifying, recognizing as legitimate, denying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, glorifying its participants.
At the moment, he has been chosen a measure of restraint in the form of detention. The agent faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
