The Shostka City Primary Health Care Center of the Shostka City Council received a mobile clinic. This will help restore and improve access to essential medical services for community residents.
The mobile clinic was purchased by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH) within the framework of the Special Support Program for Ukraine / EU4ResilientRegions with funding from the German government.
A mobile clinic is a fully equipped outpatient clinic on wheels that can reach patients wherever they are and provide them with high-quality medical services. The mobile clinic is designed and manufactured to meet the needs of the medical institution.
All systems, materials and devices comply with European medical and safety standards
The mobile clinic is equipped with an air conditioning and ventilation system for the clinical premises, a heater, water tanks, a generator, and batteries for backup power to operate remotely in the current conditions in Ukraine. A hydraulic lift and ramps provide barrier-free access for people with limited mobility.
The mobile clinic is also equipped with all the necessary medical equipment
“The transfer of mobile clinics is part of a comprehensive support to communities to ensure access to quality medical services. These vehicles will provide important medical care to residents of the most remote and vulnerable communities. We have also paid considerable attention to training medical professionals and community managers,” said Yulia Gruber, Project Director of the Special Support Program for Ukraine / EU4ResilientRegions, implemented by GIZ.
The mobile team will provide a full range of services of the stationary Primary Health Care Center, such as general consultation, diagnostics, treatment, laboratory services, ultrasound, vaccination, maternal and child care, ophthalmology, ECG, etc.
“I would like to thank Technova for creating a unique clinic on wheels, which has become an important step in improving access to medical care. I would like to express my special gratitude to Tetiana Hvozd for her professionalism and patience in working with us. I cannot but mention the support of Mykola Nozi, the head of the Shostka territorial community, Oksana Shapoval, the secretary of the city council, and Yaroslav Schastlivtsev, the deputy mayor, who helped our institution join this important project. Thanks to our joint efforts, we managed to bring primary health care closer to the community residents and make it more accessible and affordable. I sincerely thank everyone who contributed to the implementation of this project!” Oleksandr Mazur, interim director of the Shostka Primary Health Care Center.
A total of 10 mobile clinics were purchased and delivered to communities in six regions of Ukraine
The mobile clinics were purchased by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH) under the Special Support Program for Ukraine / EU4ResilientRegions with funding from the German government, and clinical trainings for mobile teams from host communities are partially funded by the European Union.
