The combat wing of the international intelligence community InformNapalm, operating in the Kursk region, together with the partisans of the Kursk People’s Republic (KPR), has established that a group of Russian soldiers from the 3rd Motorized Rifle Battalion of the 22nd Motorized Rifle Regiment is prone to sabotage. They do not want to take part in the “meat assault” scheduled for November 7, 2024, in the direction of the village of Kruglenke, which their command is planning for mercantile reasons, InformNapalm spokesman said on his page in Facebook page..

According to soldiers, the command is trying to force some soldiers to pay a “tribute” from their salaries or use their payroll cards in case they are killed during the assault. This scheme has caused outrage among the personnel, who do not want to fall victim to the leadership’s selfish plans.

Local residents and PRC guerrillas helped to establish communication with the soldiers, who were ready to sabotage the orders of the 22nd Motorized Rifle Regiment command to save their lives. The soldiers learned about the plans to involve them in suicidal assault operations and decided to act.

The personnel of the 3rd motorized rifle battalion, which includes 126 soldiers, are currently undergoing special training in the areas of the settlements of General Kolodez, Sheptukhivka and Kromski Byky. The purpose of these exercises is to weed out those who will agree to pay a “tribute” to the command from those who are planned to be sent on a suicide assault.

Since mid-October, soldiers who are aware of the criminal nature of their command’s actions have begun passing operational documents and combat orders from their commanders to the PRC partisans. This has already helped to disrupt some of the planned actions of Russian troops in the Kursk sector.

The soldiers hope that the public disclosure of this information will force the command of the 22nd Motorized Rifle Regiment to abandon the assault planned for November 7. They believe that publicity about the corrupt “tribute collection” scheme and the real threat of sabotage could save their lives. If these measures fail, the next step may be the liquidation of the regiment’s command.

This situation shows deep dissatisfaction and moral decline among the Russian military, which does not want to become a bargaining chip in the self-serving games of its leadership. Further developments could significantly affect the combat capability of Russian units in the region and lead to unpredictable consequences.
