Ukrainian drones strike at theZenit oil depot in Kotelnich , Kirov region of Russia. The target is located more than 1200 km from the Ukrainian border. This was reported to the InfoLight.UA Research and Analysis Group by its own sources in Ukrainian intelligence.
According to sources, the attack on the oil depot was carried out by Ukrainian-made kamikaze drones. Local telegram channels report that the attack was carried out using at least five UAVs. The attack caused a fire in two tanks at the oil depot.
” As a result of the operation of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the oil depot of the State Enterprise”Zenit” near the village of Kotelnych in the Kirov region of the Russian Federation,” – the source said.
It is worth noting that this is the first time that Ukrainian drones have attacked an enemy facility in the Kirov region of the Russian Federation. The distance of the target from the Ukrainian border is over 1200 kilometers.
Zenit is an object of the enemy’s military-industrial complex and provides fuel to the occupation forces of the Russian Armed Forces.
Russian media also confirmed the attack, noting that it was the first time Kirov region was attacked by drones. According to them, the drones successfully hit tanks on the territory ofRosrezerv’sZenit plant in Kotelnich, more than 1,400 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
Interestingly, earlier today, on August 28, sources reported a successful attack by Ukrainian drones on an oil depot in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. In particular, theAtlas oil depot near the village of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky was hit. This operation was also carried out jointly by the DIU and the SSO with the help of Ukrainian-made strike UAVs.
