On March 7-8, a significant evacuation of Ukrainian citizens and their families from the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing to Egypt took place. A total of 59 people were evacuated, including 15 children, 37 women and 8 men.
The evacuation operation became possible due to the carefully planned efforts of representatives of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine and diplomatic staff of the Ukrainian embassies in Israel and Egypt. Their well-coordinated work ensured the safe passage of citizens across the border and their further accommodation.
All evacuees were accommodated in a hotel in Egypt, where they were provided with proper living conditions. It is planned that all of them will be transported to Ukraine in the near future. This operation is an important step in protecting the rights and security of Ukrainian citizens abroad, demonstrating the country’s ability to respond to crisis situations and provide support to its citizens in difficult conditions.
